Tablet Presentations in Present Pro
To optimize your presentation for viewing on a tablet, you should ensure its definition includes a Tablet device type with a format and layout that is appropriate for a tablet. Thanks to Pyramid's responsive presentation design, the Tablet device type layout is selected automatically when a user opens the presentation at runtime from their tablet.
Device types and "responsive" design
Pyramid's responsive presentation design ensures that presentations are always loaded in the format appropriate for the device used to access them. Whether or not a presentation has been optimized for the current device type, it will automatically be opened in the format that is appropriate for the current device. This means viewing a presentation from a tablet will open the presentation whose content and layout is optimized for display on a tablet.
Tip: It's always best to optimize your presentations for the required device types, to ensure that the content placement is suited to each format.

Presentations for Tablet device types
You can create a presentation that is optimized for Tablet device types in Present Pro:
- By creating a New Presentation with the Tablet device type.
- By clicking the Tablet device type icon (orange arrow below) in your existing presentation, thereby creating a new Tablet device type layout inside your existing presentation. In this case, the Convert Layout dialog opens, where you can choose which other layout (Desktop or Mobile) you want to base your new tablet layout on and click Convert.
Optimize for Multiple Devices
If your users might be accessing this presentation from one or more device types (their desktop and their mobile, for example), you should optimize a single presentation for each of those device types. This ensures their view of the presentation contains the most appropriate content and layout for their device type. Whenever the presentation is accessed, it will automatically open with the layout of the device type being used.
To create a presentation for desktop and tablet use, start by building your presentation in desktop mode, then convert from desktop to tablet. The content in the desktop presentation will be propagated to the tablet presentation. After the presentation type has been converted, you can continue making changes in each layout; any changes made in one layout will not affect the others.
